(Don't) Let it Snow

Yesterday I wore a light jacket, jeans, and flip flops. It was a nice 45 degrees outside. Today I woke up to this:

I can't say it's not beautiful, but I just hate living in it. I hate walking in it and driving in it. I hate the fact that I have to get on shoes (not flip flops or flats) and a big jacket to go get the mail. And that I might slip on some ice before arriving at my destination. It really is just too much for me to handle!

Oh, bother. But kudos to the guy with the 4-wheeler that is cleaning off some of the sidewalks. Thanks, man.

It's snowing on my desktop!!

So as much as I hate the snow flurries outside, I couldn't help but smile at my desktop weatherbug. :)

S N O W S H O E I N G

Tyler and I had the opportunity to go snowshoeing with some friends from my work yesterday. We went about 4 miles past Vivian Park (up Provo Canyon). I was a little nervous, but it literally takes no skill at all. It's really easy to pick up, but was actually quite a bit of exercise.
I was disappointed when we picked up our snowshoes, though. I was expecting them to look like tennis rackets, or the snowshoes Bear Grylls made on Man vs. Wild (the episode with Will Ferrell). But they look like the first two pictures. (Also, the picture of my friend Tyson in the BYU hat is for my very BYU-enthusiastic brother-in-law Brian. I think his wife should attempt to make him one just like this for Christmas!)

YUCK.

I really do hate snow. It makes everyday worse than the day before, just knowing you have to wake up and walk to school in the wet, cold, icy snow. it's miserable, really. good thing it hasn't stuck to the ground yet, or I'd have no reason to get out of bed in the morning.
