introducing....

PLANT!

This is Plant, the newest and only extra member of our family for a while. He was planted about four and a half weeks ago, and sprouted a little more than two and a half weeks ago. The ultimate goal is for him to be tall, full, and leafy; which then I will cut off his leaves and use them to cook with. He's a basil plant, you see.

The weather was warm and sunny his entire germination period up until a week and a half ago. But lately the weather has been nasty, and poor Plant has to be kept inside our basement apartment with no sunlight to help him grow.

The weather is supposed to be nice next week, so hopefully Plant will be able to grow outside from now on! (Yesterday some of his leaves looked a little dry, even though it's been raining and I've watered him. He's also not as green as before. I hope he makes it!)
